Activity 3. Pairwork
2c.This activity provides guided oral practice using the target language.
Get two students to read the conversation in the box to the class. Ask the students to make the conversations using the information from 2a and 2b. Have the students work in pairs. Move around the room listening in on various pairs and offering any help they may need. Ask one or more pairs to act out their conversations to the class.
Activity 4. Grammar Focus
Ask different pairs of students to say the statements and questions .
Explain that the relative clauses with that describe things and the relative clauses with who are used to describe persons. Tell them who is for people and that is for things. Ask the students to make up more similar sentences.
Encourage the students to ask questions about relative clauses.
Activity 5 Summary and Homework
In this class, we’ve done much listening and oral practice using the target language. We ‘ve also talk about the relative clauses. Write your own sentences as the ones in the box.
